1. How do interpersonal and employability skills effect your everyday life and your future?
It's relationship with other people/communication and employability skills help you get a job. It really depends on your speech and manners. 

2. What is graphic design and why is it important to communicate visually?
Graphic design is communicating with visual aids. It is important to make information so people can sell or buy your artwork. Graphic design is common in art fields and every company will hire you.

3. Why is it important to identify safety issues and to safely operate equipment utilized in the classroom?
So we will understand and avoid getting hurt. 

4. What are the elements of design and how are they incorporated into a design?
The elements of art are line, shapes, color, space, form (3-D), texture, and value. It's important because they add meaning to people's perspective.

5. What is a vector-based design and how is it created? 

Vector-based design is different from photoshop because it is based on a mathematical formula. You have to build it for it to be created. It doesn''t matter about the resolutions.

6. How is color used effectively in graphic design?
Colors make up everything and by using color schemes they make pictures stand out, the point of graphic design. 

7. What is a raster-based image and how is it created?
 Raster-based image is a type of image created by pixels.  

8. How does the manipulation of size and resolution effect digital images?
 Size and resolution effect digital images because if the size of the image is too big or small, we cannot view the image and if the resolution is too low or too high, the image will either be blurry or really clear.  

9. What is the function of the type within a design?
Type brings out the uniqueness of a design because it either catches people's attention or it doesn't. Types also depend on the setting and theme of a book or movie. 

10. How do designers use a page layout program? 
They use it in Adobe InDesign software and it makes it easy for them to combine text and graphics and lay them out all on one page.


11.  What steps does a designer take to design a page layout from concept to final product?
  • First, a designer must find out their target audience and plan their creation
  • Second, they pick out a typeface and sketch their ideas on paper
  • Third, they use a program like Adobe InDesign
  • Fourth, designers pick colors, divide the layouts, and focus on the details
  • Lastly, they print out their creation

12. What are the key developments in the history of visual communication?  How did these developments shape our industry?
The key developments are writing, typography, illustration, photography, shapes, colors, and much more. These developments shape our industry by making communication easier because they help designers speak to the audience. 

13. What careers are available within the field of graphic designer? What profession are associated with the industry?
Careers within the field of a graphic designer are Art directors, Illustrators, Photographers, and Web Designers and they all capture the attention of an audience. 

14. Would I want to become an Illustrator or Graphic Designer? Explain.
I would rather become a Graphic Designer because they do all sorts of things like designing new logos, ads for a poster or new movie, and they work with a lot of colors, shapes, and typography.
